[/url]The fastest, highest flying, most beautiful commercial jet, co-designed by Britain and France, has landed at Heathrow for the very last time. And for someone who loves all things aviation, this is a very sad day. I would've given anything to be on that last flight into Edinburgh today.. I mean, drinking Champagne with views of Earth from the edge of space, travelling at twice the speed of sound. Just how cool would that have been.
I remember the deafening sound, and the absolute awe when I saw Concorde land at Edinburgh years ago, watching from the parimeter fence. Must've been only 10 or something, but it's still vivid in my head.
Aww man. It was nothing short of a technical marvel.
